Аннотация: In article the maintenance of inscriptions of the face masks used during COVID-19 pandemic is analyzed. The object of the study is masks with inscriptions presented on the website of the OZON online store in February-March 2021. Masks with inscriptions are considered as an important element of verbal communication and self-presentation, modern in shape, but having ancient roots in content. In the article, masked inscriptions were classified according to the type and content of self-presentation. It is shown that the described masks carry a distinct code of modern culture, including Internet culture. Self-presentation using these masks is carried out mainly in the spirit of postmodernism with elements of humor.
