Аннотация: This article examines the role of culture as an independent factor influencing the effectiveness of international trade in the context of global political fragmentation. Russian initiatives for intercultural and trade integration are analyzed. Based on a critical analysis of classical theories and modern approaches, as well as existing Russian practice, the article concludes that a transition from a model of trade as an exchange of goods to a model of trade as intercultural interaction is necessary.
