Аннотация: The article highlights the importance of state and, especially, municipal regulation in the development of such a sector of the national economy as small business. The authors substantiate the thesis that the creation and development of small business is a sphere of mutual interest, both for economic entities and government bodies. The problems of small business is facing in its development and the possible solutions are indicated. The article expresses and substantiates the idea that in order to create and operate an effective mechanism of municipal regulation, a properly developed and implemented information support mechanism is needed.
