Аннотация: According to experts, in most countries of the world, the growth of public spending on health care will continue. The spread of tele-medicine — remote medical services based on information and communication technologies (ICT) — will help to optimize these costs. Among the main advantages are reducing the number of medical errors, saving time for patients and doctors, improving the efficiency of medical institutions, and providing timely and high-quality services to significant segments of the population living in geographically remote areas with difficult social and economic conditions, in particular in rural areas. This model is considered to be quite universal, since it has been tested on a wide range of products and services, but has its limitations, since it is of an evaluative nature and assumes assumptions about missing data. In the case of telemedicine, errors in calculations are caused by numerous barriers to its spread, including, for example, high costs for the creation and operation of high-tech equipment, insufficient readiness of doctors to learn the latest technologies, and possible dissatisfaction with the quality of re-mote medical services.
