Аннотация: The problems and questions of modeling of entrepreneurial activity in Azerbaijan are investigated in the article. The level of development of entrepreneurship in the country in modern conditions is analyzed. The essence of the main state mechanisms for supporting entrepreneurial activity and improving the business environment is disclosed. The potential of development of subjects of entrepreneurial activity in different spheres of the country's economy, primarily non-oil sectors, is considered. The distribution of enterprises by type of economic activity in the Republic of Azerbaijan on 01.01.2018 is considered. The specific weight of certain types of loans issued to entrepreneurs by the National Fund for Assistance to Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2017 is analyzed. The recommendations and suggestions on the problems of modeling business activity in Azerbaijan in the near future are prepared and made at the end of the article.
