Аннотация: This paper represents the research of the phraseological units’ semantics in Australian and New Zealand variants of English. The definitions of such concepts as «language variant» and «national variant» are given. The semantic diversity of Australian and New Zealand phraseological units is shown. The integral semes are identified and all the phraseological units under scrutiny are grouped accordingly. In the research the methods of continuous sampling and of component analysis, a comparative method are used.
