The article is devoted to the substantiation of oil consumption rates for lubrication of chains of the Silvatec 8266 TH harvester. In the process of work, the method of visual fixation of the operator's work and processing of the observation results was used. As a result, recommendations were developed for the rationing of oil consumption, which make it easier to plan and record operating costs.
