Cultural diplomacy as a mechanism of the development of bilateral cooperation between the Russian Federation and People’s Republic of China

This article is dedicated to the research of the mechanisms of cultural diplomacy implemented in bilateral Russia-China cooperation and its influence on their general relations. Nowadays, concerning the reversal of Russian external policy to the East after the events of 2014, Asia-Pacific Region, and China in particular, being a great power in terms of economic growth and its potential, is gaining importance for Russia. Undoubtedly, cultural diplomacy plays an indispensable role in harmonic relations of China-Russia cooperation. Cultural diplomacy is the very instrument for the creation of social opinion in the partner-country as well as the image of the country abroad.
