The linguistic portrait of a political leader is being studied. The concepts of „speech portrait“, „communicative strategy“, „oratory techniques“ are concretized. A. Lincoln's speech is analyzed in the context of the oratorical techniques used. The communicative strategies of the speech of the political leader A. Lincoln are investigated, thanks to which the leading communicative quality of speech is formed.
