Аннотация: Artificial forest restoration in the European North plays an important role in the process of restoring economically valuable forests that are in demand on the world market. One of the main indicators leading to success in this direction is high-quality mechanical tillage and the planting material used. In this regard, research was conducted in the Arkhangelsk region to study spruce forest crops created using various methods of area preparation and soil treatment. It was found that continuous uprooting in combination with tillage techniques allowed to significantly increase the growth rates of forest crops. So by the age of 18, the difference between the variants in height is 75.9%, in diameter-59.1%.
