Аннотация: The article examines the current state and features of the provision of qualified legal assistance in certain foreign countries. This study did not confirm the widespread position that in most developed countries they are following the path of introducing a lawyer's monopoly on the provision of legal services, although it has identified this path as one of the most frequently used in the legal regulation of the institution of qualified legal assistance in some states, but not without exemptions from the general rule even in the implementation of judicial representation, from which, historically, advocacy arose.
