Аннотация: This article examines the concept of emotional intelligence, its role, and significance in the legal profession. The author establishes that emotional intelligence is a complex construct, one of the key components of which is the psycho-communicative component, which manifests not only in the ability to perceive and understand the emotions of others but also in the ability to influence their emotional-volitional sphere and behavior through specific psycho-communicative techniques and skills. The legal-linguistic aspect of implementing emotional intelligence in a lawyer's professional practice involves correctly interpreting the semantic meanings in the terminology and speech patterns used. The need to develop emotional intelligence as the most significant personal and professional quality of a lawyer is identified.
