Аннотация: The article analyzes the complex and internally contradictory attitudes of the United States towards the environment and assess the impact of climate issues on geopolitical interests in the United States. The author reveals the discussions of environmental issues and need for the transition of the Unites States to new sources of renewable energy to fight climate change. The analysis points to the importance of the climate change consequences as threats to US national security
