Systematization and classification of regional development factors

Author ordered the classification criteria for the region’s growth factors, created a grouping of them and selected criteria that are more relevant to the current stage of socio-economic development. The paper provides the overview and analysis of the theories of regional economy development in order to trace the changes of regional socio-economic system development factors’ significance. It also systematizes the existing theories by the object of impact. Author proposed the classification of factors of economic growth and determined those of particular relevance which are appropriate and necessary to consider and use in elaboration of strategic plans for regional socio-economic development.
