The article discusses the possibilities and advantages of using the figurative-plot method when developing a museum exhibition using the example of a conceptual and artistic analysis of the exposition of the State Museum of V.V. Mayakovsky. The history of the formation of the method, the principles of constructing the exposure by this method, the relevance of the image-plot method in modern memorial museums are traced.
