Аннотация: The concepts of technical optimism and technical pessimism and their role in the history of the development of society are examined. These concepts are projected onto the area of energy recovery. The relevance of using heat recovery, in particular in the supply and exhaust ventilation system, is analyzed from a technical point of view. Examples of the use of this energy-efficient recovery technology in various countries are given.
