Аннотация: This article deals with functional teaching methods in the educational process, which is one of the main directions for improving the ways of preparing the future competitive specialists for independent life in today's world. The research is made on the problems and importance of formation of professional competence in the process of conducting a business game at the lessons of professionally-oriented foreign language. We tried to illuminate the main features of the business games method and emphasize that despite the fact that the game recreates the context of work in its subject and social aspects, the business game process remains a pedagogical process that is aimed at achieving the goals of training and education.
