Аннотация: Each amendment to the legislation on youth education and the topic of the school curriculum is a response to the challenge that society, the domestic or foreign policy of the state is facing at that time. The case of the Republic of Korea is interesting because it is a country in which sex education is included in the school curriculum at the legislative level. Studying the main aspects of legislation regarding sex education will make it possible to clarify what social problems society faces and how the government responds to them. The purpose of this study is to identify the main aspects of the legislation in the Republic of Korea regarding sex education and determine how they affect school education. The study examined all legislative acts in the Republic of Korea that include the word “sex education” (Korean sunkyuk). As a result of the analysis, it was found that the main directions of the Republic of Korea's policies regarding sex education are combating the sex industry, combating sexual violence, promoting gender equality and maintaining physical and emotional health. The study also showed that the legislation of the Republic of Korea cannot directly influence the content of the school curriculum.
