Аннотация: The article considers the concept of communicative behavior, its functions in the speech of a politician, traces the use of linguistic means reflecting the impact on voters through their use. The main tactics of communicative behavior in the speech of an American politician are revealed. The types of communicative behavior are identified and authentic fragments of the speech of the 35th President of the United States of America John Fitzgerald Kennedy are translated.
