Аннотация: The article presents a study related to the study of cognitive competencies in adolescence, reflecting students' mastery of the actions of constructing reasoning, their mastery of effective ways to solve problems and the improvement of their reflexive cognitive actions. Schoolchildren of grades 5, 6, and 7 of two contingents participated in group experiments and solved problems of the author’s “Reasoning” methodology. Schoolchildren of the first contingent (131 people) studied in an educational environment built according to the system of D.B. Elkonin and V.V. Davydov, schoolchildren of the second contingent (142 people) studied in a traditional educational environment. It was shown that the noted cognitive competencies among schoolchildren of the first contingent were formed at a higher level. than among schoolchildren of the second contingent.
