Аннотация: The article discusses the possibilities of using proverbs and sayings in the educational process in the Russian language. Proverbs and sayings are authentic material with broad educational potential. The purpose of this study is to study the role of proverbs and sayings as a means of developing the phonetic skills of schoolchildren in the Russian language of foreign children. Careful selection of authentic language material, the use of appropriate methods and techniques contribute to the effective development of students' listening and pronunciation skills.
