Аннотация: This article discusses the design of bearing assemblies for differentials of various vehicles, analyzes the technical requirements for adjusting the preload of bearings, and identifies the four most commonly used methods for adjusting the preload. The method of adjusting the preload according to the deformation of the bearing sockets is highlighted . It is emphasized that this method is the most acceptable in production and is characterized by the least indirect adjustment and the corresponding smallest error. A formula is given for calculating the required preload force based on the non-opening of the joint in the unloaded bearing. The technological equipment for implementing this method is given.
