Аннотация: This article discusses the issues of working with scientific and educational texts in teaching professional Russian. Specific types of work with special texts are offered, and pre-text and post-text tasks are given. The tasks are designed to meet the modern requirements of the standard program for the course "Professional Russian". We suggest using standard expressions when working on scientific texts. Analysis and analysis of scientific terms by etymology and composition allow students to navigate the content and structure. When working with the educational text in the specialty, students also need to develop the ability to systematize and summarize the material. For this purpose, the following types of tasks are traditionally used: dividing the text into semantic parts, finding the main and additional information, drawing up a text plan, writing an abstract using the compression method.
