Conditions of Storytelling’s Implementation into Foreign Language Education

The article presents storytelling technology and its possible implementation into foreign language education aimed at developing students’ creative potential, linguistic competence and motivation for learning a foreign language. The concept of storytelling in narrative communication, its characteristics, purposes of application, functions, types of a story, the role of a narrator are discussed in the article.
Storytelling technology can be applied in foreign language education according to dramogermeneutical approach with emphasis on theatrical pedagogy.
