Аннотация: The article traces the loss by Russia of its gold reserves during the First World War and during the civil war. An attempt is made to assess the sources of the white movement and Soviet historical materials. Shows the attitude of the allies ("Entente") to Russia in the revolutionary time, as well as the political line of the leaders of Russia in the 90s. XX century upon the return of the lost gold to Russia. Quantities are presented in a consistent way.
