Аннотация: Today, global competition between countries is reduced to competition between separate regions. The most progressive and innovative approach to the development of the region in the conditions of the "new economy" is the cluster development of the territory. The cluster concept offers an alternative view of the essence of competition, a new approach to structuring the regional economy and a progressive form of institutional organization of the innovation process.
