Аннотация: The following paper presents a practical research how to keep a focus on the learner carried out during a CELTA course. Among various indispensable parts of teaching English language, such as vocabulary or grammar, the focus on specific abilities of each particular learner is the key to success. As a matter of fact, culture peculiarities may affect the way a person perceives and learns information. Thus, the teaching methodology should be reconsidered, taking this aspect into account. The emphasis of this paper will be on a student with a low level of English.
