The article discusses the importance of the introduction of a safety management system at the machine-building enterprises. The most common classification of harmful and dangerous production factors was given. The article also contains the conclusion about the necessity of creation of a system of labor protection management at enterprises of mechanical engineering with the aim of reducing occupational injuries.
