Foreign experience of organizing local governance: Sweden

This article is devoted to the general characteristics of the Swedish local government system. A brief overview of the legal framework governing local self-government is presented, the levels and structure of regional and local authorities are reflected, the competencies implemented by the relevant management structures are described, the controlling structures on the part of the state level of government are indicated.
